Apple Pie

Ingrediants: 1 ¼ cups of flour plus little for dusting, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of sugar, 1 stick of frozen butter. and 7 tablespoons of water. 6-7 Apples (sliced), ½ cup sugar, 4 table spoons Lemond juice, ½ a stick of butter (unfrozen) 1 cup brown sugar, ¼ cup water, 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons cornstarch. (plus a pinch of salt)

Note: you need a food processer and a pie dish

Crust: Put the flour sugar and salt into the food processor and pulse until combined. dice up the frozen butter and add it slowly into the food processor until coarse crumbs start to form. the mixture should be very crumbly and dry. add the water and a pulse until moist ball form

Put the dough ball onto a flat surface (hopefully clean) with little bit of flour and start folding and kneading the dough until smooth. cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Filling: combine everything expect for the apples water and cornstarch into a pan on medium heat. mix around until everything is combined add the sliced apples and mix around until the apples are soft. separately mix together water and cornstarch to create slurry which then is added to the mixutre (this prevents lumps from forming. mix around set aside in the fridge for 30 minutes to cool.

Pie: take the crust and filling out of the refrigerated area and put a thick Layer of crust around the pie dish and push a fork all around the outer sides to cremp it. add the filling then on top add a layer of brown sugar and cinnamon. set the oven to 400 degrees and put the pie in for 25 minutes then drop the tempature to 350 degrees for another 35 minutes. take out let the. pie cool and enjoy.

Apple pie is one of my favorite desserts because my grandma used to make for me every time I would come over. She never used a to p curst for her pie because she would say it would take away from the filling flavor and make the pie for dry and she was right.
